Meet the Creator
Hello, I’m Tiff, the creator of A Grief Moment.
My background is in psychology, and I’m currently a graduate student in the School of Social Work, working toward becoming a licensed clinical social worker with a focus on grief and loss. As I continue my education and work toward this goal, I’m developing a deeper understanding of how loss can affect us emotionally, psychologically, and socially.
Grief is often associated with the death of someone we love, but loss can take many forms. It can come with the end of a relationship, the loss of a friendship, changes in our health, the loss of a dream, or the life we once imagined for ourselves. Some losses are acknowledged by others, while others go unnoticed. Sometimes, we struggle to understand our own feelings because we don’t recognize what we’re experiencing as grief.
These are the conversations that inspire A Grief Moment.
The Purpose Behind A Grief Moment
A Grief Moment was created as a space to pause, reflect, and process the many ways loss can affect our lives.
Through research-informed articles, educational content, and thoughtful conversations, my goal is to help make information about grief more accessible and encourage a deeper understanding of the experiences people carry.
This space is about more than defining grief. It is about exploring the emotions that accompany loss, challenging misconceptions, and recognizing that grief does not look the same for everyone.
I believe we need more conversations that allow people to acknowledge their experiences without feeling that they must justify their pain, compare their losses to someone else’s, or move forward before they are ready.
My intention is not to tell anyone how to grieve. It is to create room for learning, reflection, compassion, and a better understanding of ourselves and one another.
A Moment for You
Whether you are experiencing a loss, supporting someone you care about, or simply seeking to understand grief more deeply, I hope you find something here that resonates with you.
You may find information that helps you put words to an experience. You may discover a perspective you had not considered. Or you may simply find reassurance that your experience deserves acknowledgment, even when others do not fully understand it.
Whatever brings you here, I hope this space reminds you that loss is a part of the human experience, but you do not have to navigate the questions surrounding it without opportunities to learn, reflect, and seek understanding.
Thank you for taking a moment to be here.
